My Story - SprintFun

It's hard for me to pinpoint my first race but I believe it was either the 92 or 93 Sharon Nationals at Sharon Speedway.  I was young but instantly hooked by the speed of the sprint cars. And they were loud! And dangerous! And awesome! Eventually I branched out to other cars like big block modifieds & late models and other tracks like Mercer and Lernerville. Looking back I can basically sum up all of my childhood memories as "racing" or "other".  Eventually I gravitated towards racing websites/message boards and posted under the name "SprintFun".  (Really it's not the name I'd pick today but 13 year old me thought it was great at the time).

After a brief hiatus from racing to earn my college degree I started to get back into the sport around 2008. Now living in Columbus, Ohio there was a whole new world of tracks to explore and drivers to cheer for.

The photography part of the equation didn't start until 2014. I was never really drawn to taking photos but took a camera to Eldora Speedway for the Kings Royal and became hooked pretty quickly. It feels rewarding to have a creative outlet plus having it coincide with my childhood passion makes for an awesome combination.

Since 2016 I have been fortunate to shoot for some great racing series and tracks and help provide pictures to numerous drivers. To date all money that has been generated from my pictures has gone to either equipment upgrades or back into the racing community through donations for events or to charities.
